What the question asked ;D

Me, I was a fan from the very first episode, but Hide and Seek really brought it home to me.

There had already been a ton of Shep/Weir fics on ff.net, and so I decided to write my own called "Of Chocolate and Edible Boxers" thinking I was probably the only 'weirdo' out there who liked that pairing. Then, when I started my yahoo group, WeirMcKayship, I realized that there were A LOT of other people like me out there.

So, just remember that you are NEVER alone.

As scary as that thought can sometimes seem :)

I was a bit slow on the uptake with Mcweir.. but since its still the first season I think we all are in at the ground level, so whatever :)

Anyway, during the Storm I noticed the little things Rodney did when he noticed Liz. He remembered her health issue and he was so cute when he talked to her. After that I went to fanfiction.net and found MA's fanfiction (wonderful fanfiction by the way) and then on to the yahoo group. The rest they say is history... or at least posts on yahoo.

well i'd have to say in Hide & seek when she was worried about him and the smaller glances and looks that have been shown between the two.

I was watching an episode on tape (I think it may have been Suspision or a episode soon after) when I saw the ad for how well Atlantis was doing. I mistook Simon (since it was a back shot) for Rodney and ever since I've liked this pairing. So I've been a fan since I started watching the show.

The Storm just cemented it.

Well I used to watch SG1 avidly but the scheduling here in UK was bit irratic so I fell out of watching it about season 5/6 - not having seen all of those seasons either (so I missed the McKay ones!)

But this year I have a housemate who was SG1 obssessed and he one day asked if we wanted to watch SGa which I'd never even heard of before - hadn't been keeping up with news for quite a number of years and previous to this I wasn't into the SG fandom online.

First episode I saw was 'Home' which I liked and then 'The storm' and 'The eye'.
I loved McKay instantly (and him and Zelenka are cool to watch banter too) and had to go see his other episodes after that.
I'd say the bit that 'turned' me was the whole thing in 'The eye'. Don't want to say because of spoilers but that was the episode and after then I wanted more and watched 1-8 in order which only reinforced my belief that they belong together, especially in 'rising' and 'hide and seek'.
So off I went and read the fanfic and posts on forums and happened to be delighted to find weirmckayship.

And since I was so inspired I started writing SGa McWeir fanfic too, just to broaden the amount (too much Shep/Weir out there!).

It's nice to know I'm not a crazy shipper who's the only one imagining it.

you brought *that* to this galaxy?

(we're allowed to bring our own body weight in stuff...so I brought DVDs).


o-kay....what brought me into the Weir/McKay/Weir fandom....

well, I started by being a member of Jackfic...from their archive, I found SGA, which directed me to Sheppardfic (after I asked if there were any other Atlantis egroups)...

I wrote a few fics....since I tend to write from the angle of whichever egroup lets me stay.

then I did some web surfing, utilizing the links from a post in one egroup, to the online fic (not in that egroup), which led to the Weir/McKay archive, which led to one egroup for the pairing...which led me to WeirMcKayship egroup.

I posted one of my earlier Atlantis fics in that most-recently-mentioned egroup, and they accepted it, asking for a shippy sequel, which I am in the process of writing & posting.

I started out thinking Sheppard and Weir would be a good Ship but seeing how Rodney and Elizabeth interacted i was like "Aww, they're so cute together." and Sheppard likes Teyla anyway. I really didn't like Rodney in SG1 (Probably because he was hitting on Sam and i was a big Jack/Sam Shipper) but he just seems so cool in Atlantis. Weir especially brings out the best in him.

Sometime before The Eye, because I was already looking for signs of the relationship by the time I watched it. I'd always noticed how much Rodney respected Elizabeth, so it just seemed to fit.
